AIBU to be confused by my iPhone's alarm system?

I tried to use my iPhone to set an alarm last night as I needed to get up particularly early this morning.

I went into the clock app as usual but it said something about the alarm function being located elsewhere now, and prompting me to set a sleep schedule and asking how much sleep I wanted to get etc.

I was really tired by this point and just wanted to set a sodding alarm. Ironically the app that claims it's all about promoting sleep health actually made me more tired and annoyed just before bed!

It also seems like I've managed to set an ongoing alarm too - I don't want to wake up at 5.30am every day, it was just a one-off this morning!

There's also a confusing wheel thingy now too instead of the just scrolling through numbers to select the time you want to wake up.

Does anyone know a way around this? I just want the simple old alarm function back!

Click on the orange plus at the top right to add a one off alarm.

I have an iPhone12 and just go into the clock app and select alarm at the bottom

Then the "+" at top right
Then tap on the time bit and just press the numbers for what time I want to set the alarm for.
If it's just a one off alarm, I go into the "repeat" bit and cancel any repeats

Not sure if that helps any?

I usually have alarms on Alexa now but when I set an alarm on phone I just get Siri to do it.

\Yeah, thats the 'new' Bedtime feature.
Just ignore/turn that off.

Click the clock icon, choose "alarm" on the bottom row and then click the little orange + sign at the top right to create a new alarm

Go into the "clock" app.
Press "alarm" at the bottom of the screen (second to the left)
Press the orange "plus" in the top right hand corner.
Scroll through the numbers to set the time you want.
Set whether you want it repeating or not.
Change the sound.
Turn on the "snooze" function if you want it.
Then press "save" in the top right hand corner again.

It was a new feature launched a couple of updates ago. If you go to the health app and then browse button and scroll down to sleep you can turn off the sleep schedule and your alarms will go back to normal.
