I think she comes across as a nice person. She looks like she’s trying a bit too hard at times, but is doing a good job.
Phil seems more relaxed and lighthearted than when Holly is there, it’s just nicer viewing really!

I quite like Josie, bit daft in a good way and she seems sweet. I like Alison too, much prefer Fridays with her and Der-mot, with the emphasis on the mot Grin

Theanswerisblowinginthewind · 18/11/2021 10:26

@Fatgalslim My favourites are Eamon & Ruth, but god knows what’s going on there. Not a fan of Phil & Holly at all, but at least they’re one down today 🤷🏻‍♀️

I also love Eamon and Ruth. Can’t bear Alison and Dermot.
Enjoying Josie

girlmom21 · 18/11/2021 10:35

I think she's lovely. I think she's just a bit eccentric like Alison but she's settled down more and more each day that she's been on.

Theanswerisblowinginthewind · 18/11/2021 10:54

But Phil seems a bit nicer too 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thehop · 18/11/2021 10:56

I prefer her I think

Crumblinginside · 18/11/2021 10:57

I prefer her too. She's more relatable as is Alison who is so genuine and real!

I have more in common with them than Holly though she is a nice person. Phil is really comfortable with Josie. A very nice dynamic!

Crumblinginside · 18/11/2021 10:58

Love Ruth also (Eamonn is better suited to news and factual programmes and can be inprofessional to say the least)

hilbil21 · 18/11/2021 11:00

Loving Josie. I also like Alison. Love Dermot on everything else bar This Morning.... he's rubbish on it!

Lsquiggles · 18/11/2021 11:02

I think she's doing great! I always feel sorry for her when they make her do all the embarrassing competition segment, she's a lovely presenter

Mrsjayy · 18/11/2021 11:05

I think she Is lovely I've had it on in the background watching bits and bobs she is doing a grand job and Phil is more professional . He acts likehe and Holly have an "inside" joke going on. I have to go out so I'm missing giant penis man 😂

mildredhubble48 · 18/11/2021 11:06

I really like Josie. She's not as smooth and confident at her delivery as Holly or Ruth but that's obviously because she's new to it. Think she's got a fab personality though and would do well with a bit of practice.

LittleDandelionClock · 18/11/2021 11:07

I love Alison, but I am not a fan of Dermot.

As for Josie, she seems like a pleasant girl and does a decent job on morning tv. But I have to say her voice/accent really grates on me. I have to mute the TV when she is on.

It's not the south-west accent/voice so much, it's just HERS. She seems to really exaggerate her Bristol twang, and it's incredibly irritating.

She was fine in Big Brother, but she seems to lay the accent on when she is on 'This Morning...' A bit like Danny Dyer. He is a cockney, but REALLY lays it on when he speaks.

LagneyandCasey · 18/11/2021 12:07

I admire her for befriending the lonely lady who phoned in during lockdown. They're still friends which is lovely.

Sparklingbrook · 18/11/2021 12:09

I think she's doing a good job. I'd prefer anyone over Eamonn and Ruth I can't watch those two at all.

CSIblonde · 18/11/2021 13:30

Philip & Holly are a bit smug for my taste. I like Josie though. Love Alison to death, but I feel Dermot isn't enjoying it & thinks he's slumming it. Ruth & Eamon are a bit too 'cosy' 80's style . Like a vanilla Richard & Judy .

uncomfortablydumb53 · 18/11/2021 13:53

Josie is doing a great job She's very warm, shows just enough of her sense of humour, without the over the top giggling and silliness that Holly brings
Her Bristol accent isn't over exaggerated, by the way. It's usual in her locality of Bristol

Notbornwithit · 18/11/2021 13:56

Can’t believe people like Eamon and Ruth. Vile creatures

Theanswerisblowinginthewind · 18/11/2021 14:25

@Notbornwithit Vile creatures…?!!

I love them, think they’re great

Dislike Phil & Holly but must admit, Phil is more likeable with Josie for some reason..

I like Ruth, I have a mild dislike of Alison and a very strong (and probably irrational) dislike of Holly.

imnotacelebritygetmeoutofhere · 18/11/2021 14:39

Josie has been great this week, I've enjoyed watching her, I think they should keep her on. I can't bear watching Philip and Holly together, they are so immature, always cracking stupid jokes that only they find funny then laughing for ages. This week Philip has been better, like a naughty child who has been separated from his disruptive classmate. I also love Eamon and Ruth!

DickeryDock · 18/11/2021 14:50

As a Bristolian I can confidently inform you that is how a lot of us speak 🤣

AdmiralCain · 18/11/2021 14:55

I'm from the west country and you can definitely tell from my accent but christ she has the thickest west country accent I've ever heard - and I bloody love it. Gino thinking she was Irish!!

It's because he's not acting like a teenage boy
