I've been having odd pains around my body for a short while. I'd describe them as muscular-type pains. Wherever they appear, they appear on both sides. It started off in my sides a couple of weeks ago, then disappeared. Then I got it in both ankles, it just comes on really suddenly and it's quite sore when I try to move, as though I've 'gone over' on my ankle and strained/sprained it. It lasted in the ankles for three or four days but now I have it in both wrists. It started on the side of my wrist, below my little finger. The next day it sort of travelled to the back of my wrist. Today it is all round my wrist and is throbbing even without movement. It is very sore when I do move my wrists.
Has anyone ever heard of or experienced anything like this before? Is it something I need to worry about/explore further or is it a case of (just another!) one of those things that happens as we get older? It's weird that it's happening one after the other, on both sides at the same time and mirroring each time it moves. I don't even know how to Google it as I can't describe it in a brief enough way. Many thanks in anticipation.

Google palindromic rheumatism, might be worth considering x

Rheumatoid arthritis? That can sometimes present as affecting both sides of the body at the same time.

Thank you both! I don't think it's arthritis. I'll Google the rheumatism now, thank you
