Just catching up on tonight's show. One of the contestants is a private chef and cooks "for the head of the house" while another chef cooks "for madame and the kids" AIBU to think its ridiculous to hire 2 chefs to feed a family?

No. I wish I could live that life.

Ozanj · 17/11/2021 21:12

If you have the money why not

MiloAndEddie · 17/11/2021 21:13

I saw that and was so intrigued by it! Who is the family was all I could think!

VladmirsPoutine · 17/11/2021 21:18

If I could afford it I'd even have a weekend chef or even a midnight snack chef. Why not. At some point money becomes to meaningless to someone so rich that even their pets have a chef.

ExtraOnion · 17/11/2021 21:20

The Alpha Man has to have his own chef … “Madame” (that term can fuck right off) and the kids have another team. Do this family not eat at the same time.

… and no budget

Nah, I think that having

ExtraOnion · 17/11/2021 21:21

Posted to quick ..

Any country that has millions of kids in poverty, whilst others have “teams of chefs” … is shite

Roomarmoset · 17/11/2021 21:30

I had to google Aaron as I was intrigued, he was head chef on Necker Island for Richard Branson Shock

Yes no-one needs one family chef, much less a team. But the family in question must be mega rich and that’s what they want to spend their money on. I feel like I spend way too much of my time in the kitchen so I don’t have to stretch my imagination much to understand why someone rich would want to outsource that labour. Especially if the chef’s as good as that fella. I loved the look of his tropical rum pannacotta.

Thatsthewaytis · 17/11/2021 21:59

I really want to know who the family is!!! Madame made me 🤢

PurpleDaisies · 17/11/2021 22:01

People make different choices about how to spend their money.
Shock.

MrsReeves · 17/11/2021 22:06

I could sort of understand 1 chef if you have shed loads of money, but a team of chefs, with no budget, and they cook for the pet dogs. No. Do they walk, and play with and pet the dogs too? Or are the dogs just for instagram pics, because surely if you want pets, you're ready to engage in all parts of their care?

Do you think you might be projecting a bit here?
Dollywilde · 17/11/2021 22:09

I deal with ultra high net worths for work and we were actually talking recently about the difficulties they’ve had bringing their teams of private chefs over since Brexit. It’s a whoooole other world for the super wealthy. Totally fascinating but weirdly the more I learn the more I’m happy to stick with doing my own humble beans on toast!

People have different opinions, and make different choices about every life choice. God forbid someone would make a forum for people to ask for, or express those different opinions, and people will use it Confused

What?!

So just from having info that a family has private chefs, you've deduced they dont care for their pets?

...nice one...

Perhaps it's because I live a very normal life, and the closest we get to a personal chef is my mum cooking tea for us and sending it round Grin
