To pick your brains for these toffees

My mum used to buy some quite grown up toffees called something like Maid. They were individually wrapped in a blue and gold wrapper maybe with a lady on. They were chocolate coated and quite strong. This would’ve been late 70s or in the 80s. Any ideas what they were please. I remembered them a couple of days ago and can’t get them out of my head

Milk maid or merry maid? It rings a bell

Merry Maid toffees. I remember my Grandad having them.

Merry maid are still available, but they've had a name change: www.doyouremember.co.uk/memory/merry-maid-chocolate-caramels

Amazing thanks everyone yes they were Merry maid. Great to see you can still get them - although it’s a shame they look boring now. I think I’ll get a nostalgic jar for Christmas 🤶

Not quite the same, but absolutely wonderful - M&S Extremely Chocolatey Caramels, in the fuschia wrappers…
