Person on FB today, one of those relentless #makingmemories #lovemybabies #yummymummy types posts a sickly sweet happy 10th birthday message to her daughter about how she has loved her for a whole decade. Two hours later post is edited to say happy 9th birthday. WTF? Surely you would at least delete and repost rather than having it all up in your edit history? If you were somehow able to forget the age of YOUR OWN ELDEST CHILD?

Hilarious. And fair play to her for not deleting!!! I'm sure I have a memory issue - dates of important events just don't register. I couldn't tell you what time my kids were born or their weights and I have to REALLY think about their birthdays so I have some sympathy with her. 🤣

I love my dc to bits and do occasionally post about them on fb (if we've been for a nice day out or whatever, not gushing so much as posting like I'm starting a conversation) and I have been known to get their ages wrong and have to edit it!

Haha, I have a shit memory too and frequently forget my own age, let alone those of my now mostly grown up offspring! I never forgot on their actual birthdays though so I'm taking it as a tiny parenting win I just hope she didn't buy the balloons and number candles and the usual Facebook stuff
