Hi guys I had COVID in July and I was okay for a couple of weeks then suddenly my nose have been giving me soo much problems it'll get stuffy randomly like a allergy feeling and certain foods taste and smell like a oniony smell I can't describe it it's soo annoying I was referred to a ENT doctor but they discharged me 😔

Just want to see if others are going through similar situation I'm soo tired of this

My sense of smell hasn't returned properly.. caught covid for 2nd time at the end of August. It also runs almost constantly and still sometimes feels blocked.

Apparently a really large proportion of people who lost their sense of smell when ill with Covid are having longer-lasting problems:

Yes! I feel like I have a permanent polyp or something on one side in particular. I haven't made an appointment with the gp yet but the next time I have a reason to go I'll ask her to take a look. It feels v annoying, stuffy and 'fat' and I am taking antihistamines in an attempt to get some sense of relief.

Yes, I had it in October and my sense of smell is still all over the place. It comes and goes which is really odd.

Had it a month ago, still not got my sense of smell properly back. I can smell most things now, in some cases not as strongly as before. But I work with preschoolers and I cannot smell poo. I can't smell a dirty nappy at all, or my own poo to be honest. Used to be razor sharp on that, now I need my colleagues to tell me when a child needs a nappy change.

I'm also constantly snotty, having to blow my nose regularly, apparently snoring far more than usual, and having frequent nosebleeds.

I had it in June and my sense of smell hasn't returned to normal yet. Like a pp it runs a lot too now but only one side

I had it in September and still either can’t smell at all or can’t smell properly. Sometimes wake up with a burning in my nose which means that everything will also taste weird that day. But then that goes away again and my taste is normal but the smell never is. It’s getting me downSad

I'm not sure if I've had Covid (double jabbed) but for the last month or so my sense of smell has gone haywire, at first it was a phantom smell of cigarette smoke and now I keep smelling a really unpleasant stale smell. It's cracking me up.
