How do I help my friend leave?

I have a friend who wants to leave her fiancée. They get married next month but she’s having second thoughts as she’s realised he just doesn’t like her daughter. She’s just had a baby and has no Income of her own and is basically trapped. The man isn’t abusive or anything like that she’s just realised she can’t marry him.
I don’t know what to do. I can’t help her financially or put her up but just feel so awful that she feels so stuck. No family that can help her. The baby is only 3 weeks old.

He doesn't like his own 3 week old baby, is that right?

What is she basing this on? 3 weeks into looking after a newborn is not the best time to be making any major decisions so I'd first talk through with her about why she thinks this is the only option and be sure that it is genuinely a situation where she needs to leave asap.

Do they own or rent their house? Is she on maternity leave? When is their wedding meant to be?

I'm not sure there is much you can do but talking through everything with her and offering to look after the baby if she has appointments might help. Google threads on here about 'getting your ducks in a row' and pass on the advice, there are things like benefit calculators, child maintenance payment calculators etc that will help her as she can't really make any decisions until she knows what her income and outgoings will be

If he is abusive or she is scared then she should get in touch with womens aid, and the police if its escalating. She should also log her concerns about him with health visitors etc

No he doesn’t like her 7 year old daughter.

Can she not just kick him out. Or go to the council and explain she's now homeless or something. Poor girl.

No it’s his house. She’s been a bit stupid not protecting herself.
