... to ask for some recommendations on French language podcasts/TV

Many years ago I used to have OK-ish conversational French (at least compared to the typical English person!). We'll be going to a wedding in France in Mar, and want to make some effort to brush up before then.

Any podcast recommendations? Or TV shows on Netflix?

I was hoping something like that would be a useful start, to get used to hearing the language again. I've tried watching some news program, it helps, but so boring :(

Coffee break French podcast is good for refreshing your French.

Can you find the French version of Bake Off online? It's called Le Meilleur Patissier, and it makes for hilarious viewing. I think you can find it on YouTube...
On Netflix, have you tried Call my agent, or Lupin? Both brilliant.

Lupin, fairly easy viewing on netflix

Watching with interest! I like Call My Agent. Lupin is on my list. Le Meilleur Patissier looks amazing 😍

Lupin, Untouchables film with the same actor. Blank spot, very creepy, reading subtitles really helped me improve my understanding.

Call my Agent, police Paris 1900, also loads of great French cinema on Netflix - Lady J is a great film, also good French cinema on iplayer.

In addition to the above, War of the Worlds is a recent French/English production (with Gabriel Byrne). It's about 60% English, 40% French, but maybe you could watch it without subtitles.

I enjoyed Black Spot too. And from a few years ago Les Revenants.

If you like French Movies, then I really enjoyed "Blue Is the Warmest Color". I also watched Gaspar Noé Love a while back .. hmmnn... for both make sure the kids have gone to bed :)

Spiral? Police/crime series from a few years back, was on iplayer, not sure if still there. Very gritty if you like that kind of thing. Good for swears.

Agree with the Netflix recommendations already given! I've also been watching the Parisian agency. There's some more good suggestions here - www.fluentu.com/blog/french/french-tv-series-to-learn-french/.

Podcasts I like are One Thing in a French Day, LaStory, the Duolingo one and news in slow French. I've also had Radio Nova on in the background (bit like a French 6 music).

Bonfire of Destiny on Netflix if you like period dramas
