Okay this is a bit tongue in cheek and I've no intention of having a second job....in fact as DS is disabled he IS my job for a cool £270 a month.
But in a time when people are struggling so much it sticks in the throat a bit that (some) MPs are being such utter sleaze bags.
Creaming off expenses by a very liberal interpretation of the rules. Charging expenses for rent while renting out their own homes for example although I do see that MPs not close to London need to do this.
Taking backhanders right, left and centre a la Owen Paterson who may well have resigned but am sure will be back ...sneaked in somewhere.
Meanwhile DH is still struggling to rebuild his business after the COVID lockdown. We get UC to help with the reduced income and I get CA too.
The council tax people work out we have around £1300 a month made up of UC and husband's income. I don't count CA as UC take it off pound for pound.
Just been told we are not entitled to any council tax reduction and I am struggling massively. By the time the bills are paid it leaves us with just over £300 a month to do everything else. That's food, petrol, car tax and insurance (for my husband) and the hope that nothing bloody well breaks down or falls apart.
So so cross at the moment.
And yes am aware it's not the fault of (insert sleazebag MP of choice) that we are struggling . I do tprather feel though that they couldn't have a shit.
