Anyone know why a device would appear on your Google assistant list if you've never signed into Google on that device?

Because someone else did

Do you know anyone with that model phone? It's a Samsung galaxy j3

If a new device logs into my Google I have it set up so that I get a notification about it asking me to confirm it can access

I thought this was standard setting but might not be

My ex husband has that make of phone.

Just checked my Google activity and all activity between 31-Dec-20 and July this year has been deleted. It's very odd.

Activity, location and timeline?

You can only tell that it wasn't recently, that other phone was connected at some unknown point and hasn't been used for 3 months.

How long has he been an ex?

It tells you when it was logged in. I'm guessing you were both logged into the same Google account. DH and I are so we can find eachothers phones (I can find his) and our contacts sync

We separated in July.

Activity has been deleted between dec-20 and July but there is still location timeline.

I know that I never logged into his phone on my email. As it's the device that's more than 3 months I can't find any details of when it was logged in.
