Looking at the George/Asda website for new PJs as its getting colder my arse won't fit in my others and as I was going through the pictures of a set I liked I came across the attached picture Blush

AIBU to clutch my pearls?

*Disclaimer I wont be contacting ASDA I am really not offended although it did take me by surprise.

Made me laugh.
Sorry

EvilPea · 11/11/2021 16:33

Isnt tickled pink the breast cancer support charity?

MilduraS · 11/11/2021 16:33

I'm clutching my pearls. I'd expect it from Zara but George at Asda?? Very unexpected

LefttoherownDevizes · 11/11/2021 16:34

It's for breast cancer

FionnulaTheCooler · 11/11/2021 16:36

The Tickled Pink event is to raise awareness of breast cancer so presumably that's why attention is being drawn to the breast area to stop the stigma of talking about it.

iamtheoneandonlyyy · 11/11/2021 16:36

I like it, it's just a giggle

NeedsCharging · 11/11/2021 16:36

It's for breast cancer

Ahh I didnt realise.
As I said not offended but it wasn't a photo I was expecting to see when looking for PJs.

I am buying them so I hope there is a donation?

Not sure how pretending marshmallow are nipples and making a face like that are helping the cause to be honest. It doesn't really add anything and just seems to make it out to be a bit of a joke or a bit whaaheyy look at these. Just like the OP I wouldn't look at that and think it must be supporting breast cancer.

JamAutistically · 11/11/2021 16:47

YANBU.

Doesn't look like a photo you'd see on a clothing website. More like a drunken 'pj night with the gals' photo on social media.

bestcattoyintheworld · 11/11/2021 17:29

It looks tacky.

Cherrysoup · 11/11/2021 17:32

Lacking any class, IMO. There are better ways of supporting this cause, surely.

Aquamarine1029 · 11/11/2021 17:35

Stupid, ridiculous photo. There are better ways to highlight the fight against breast cancer than this absurd, tacky photo.

RobertaFirmino · 11/11/2021 18:23

Lacking any class

Erm, it's Asda...

MissCruellaDeVil · 11/11/2021 22:05

It's for breast cancer, nothing offensive about it.

EdgeOfTheSky · 11/11/2021 22:17

Not offensive.

Just tacky. Marketing for the TikTok generation.

Theunamedcat · 11/11/2021 22:18

£18 for two marshmellos? Are they competing with m&s now?

Whatinthelord · 11/11/2021 22:22

Thought it seemed really odd but now people mention it tickled pink, that makes sense

Rubyupbeat · 11/11/2021 22:41

Isn't it a customers attached photo?

NeedsCharging · 11/11/2021 22:44

Isn't it a customers attached photo?

No it appears to be a model.

It doesn't make sense. It's trivialising, taking the piss. I've never seen anything funny about breast cancer yet all the campaigns seem to be about women hilariously getting their tits out in one way or another. How crass for those dealing with this disease to be confronted with this shit on top of everything else.
LefttoherownDevizes · 12/11/2021 06:34

Blimey, really can't believe so many of you are het up.

One of the beneficiary charities is Coppafeel whose mascot is a giant inflatable boob. They were set up when the founder in her early 20s was diagnosed with terminal breast cancer after struggling to get diagnosed.

Their whole raison d'être use to encourage young people to check their boobs, so this photo fits with them perfectly.

If it's not for you then just scroll by, it's Asda not Boden FFS. And for those that do buy it's raising valuable funds for two important charities.

FreedomFaith · 12/11/2021 07:05

I bet it will get removed by someone complaining and they'll be so chuffed with themselves for having done it.

5keletor · 12/11/2021 07:10

Can't say I could get worked up over it, probably wouldn't register it as anything shocking, to be honest.
