I'm sorry, but it was hilarious.

I needed this in my life right now 🤣 thank you

Trumpton · 10/11/2021 05:51

Oh the joys of Waspland and queuing all in one place!

IhateBoswell · 10/11/2021 06:00

I've never read that before 🤣

Mumdiva99 · 10/11/2021 06:06

Isn't that all theme parks?

Ponceyponce · 10/11/2021 06:12

Waterproof wasps 🤣

BreadmanAndCake · 10/11/2021 06:24

'Experience life inside a smelting plant'
Brilliant 🤣

Donotgogentle · 10/11/2021 06:24

That reviewer should have a second career in satirical writing.

LunaAndHerMoonDragons · 10/11/2021 09:38

Not being British I think some of the many subtle delights of queuing may have passed me by. Not having access to Lego land I will have to make do, once restrictions are lifted, with the second rate queues and lack of wasps at our local theme parks.

BeyondOurReef · 10/11/2021 09:42

@Mumdiva99

No. The wasp issue at legoland is really something special.

The queues are really terrible too, even by theme park standard.

Hodl · 10/11/2021 09:46

That is great!
Reminds me of the Amazon Veet for men reviews - still makes me howl with laughter.

Mumdiva99 · 10/11/2021 09:48

@Beyondourreef I don't remember wasps at Legoland. I actually went expecting to hate it and was pleasantly suprised......we enjoyed it and have been twice. Enjoyed more because I got tickets on deal for £12 each. On the other hand Chessington we did last year and I hated....
Twin lakes was my favourite for a few years and we live near a gullivers so do go there. But really I try to keep trips to a minimum. Now the kids are older but 2 of them don't lile big scary rides I think I have a few years grace. Although I do think my youngest might end up wanting to be taken..... we'll stick to water parks for now.....I have my eyes on Stoke and the green water for our next trip!

BeyondOurReef · 10/11/2021 09:50

Did you go in the summer?

The wasps are horrendous. It’s a proper infestation.

underneaththeash · 10/11/2021 09:51

It was really, really waspy in 2015!

It's a great day out if you avoid state school holidays.

BunTooti · 10/11/2021 09:54

Ha, I know the bloke who wrote it.

Tittyfilarious81 · 10/11/2021 09:56

🤣 love it

JuneFromBethesda · 10/11/2021 10:03

due to the inclement weather this year, most wild wasps have been sticking to their hives and using the time to relax with a copy of Mein Kampf and a refreshing glass of incandescent rage

Sounds like Mumsnetters on AIBU.
Fairyliz · 10/11/2021 10:14

That was fabulous made me laugh out loud.
Do you know if legoland did anything like a refund or free tickets to return?

JuneFromBethesda · 10/11/2021 10:23

Grin @SoupDragon

Watchingyou2sleezes · 10/11/2021 10:41

Great review of a truly awful place. Legoland is a hole.

I'm so glad that all of mine are of an age that I'll never again have to go to one of those hell on Earth places called theme parks.

Mumdiva99 · 10/11/2021 12:44

@beyondourreef I can't remember but probably not....our vouchers were probably for the very beginning or very end of the season....you know.....when no one else wants to go.
(The place I have nightmares about is Madame Tousauds....2.5 hour queue to get in even though we had pre purchased tickets.....still the kids have begged that we never return there! So that was a win).

Marygoround22 · 10/11/2021 13:18

I saw that they responded on Facebook (the author had written the same on their page there) so I'm assuming they did something but I don't know what.

@buntooti really? Grin
I randomly read it again last night and it still made me laugh years later!

ponkydonkey · 10/11/2021 13:57

Absolutely brilliant I still love it! Why hasn't he written a guide book? It would be very funny
