2011 I passed an Itec course, received my diploma after the course.
Diploma was left at an old address.. no getting it back.
I emailed ITEC who explained they could send out a replacement if I had my details and if I didn't to give them a call.
I called them and gave the man my name and D.O.B also the course I had passed.
He went on to explain I wasn't on the system, I've never done one of their courses and nothing to say I have ever been sent a diploma. Confused, I asked him what should I do as I know I had obviously. He stated that I should ring where I done the course as he "can't send out a replacement diploma that was never given in the first place" 🙄
Called adult education, long story short - I was on the system and ITEC was the awarding body, she sent me my "unique learners number" and also after the call I found a copy of the second part of my certificate. This has a student number on and also headed ITEC, signed by the executive blah blah.
I called ITEC back explaining this and spoke to the same man who said he would look at it today but will at some point and for me to send it to him.
I'm so stressed out as I need this diploma, what would you do if tomorrow he states he still can't find me on their system so I can't be sent out a replacement diploma!?
The only place it could have come from is ITEC! So, how they can't find me I have no idea. I'm hoping that with the copy of the second part of my certificate there is something on there (as there was some numbers along the bottom and also my student number) so he can finally find me.
He said it goes back to the 70s so it being 10 years ago wasn't the issue.
I don't know what to do or who to contact if he's to say after receiving my email he still can't find me on the system 😔
Surely if he can't find me by my name and DOB this new information isn't going to help?
