Discontinued beauty products

Is it too much to ask that companies give some notification before a product is discontinued. So many things I've used and loved over the years have been discontinued without any warning. Why don't they give us a chance to stock up before pulling them?!!!

The latest discontinued product to prompt this little tantrum is No 7 Stay Perfect Amazing eye pencil in purple. I can't find any other purple eye pencil that matches it...so if anyone has any suggestions please let me know!

Almay ,it used to be stocked on Boots turn disappeared. Full and Soft mascara was great.

OP I feel your pain, my go to was removed a few years ago and I have never found an alternative
I was looking at Stila Smudge Stick in purple tang the other day, quite subtle. M&S have them in

I miss Elizabeth Arden peel & reveal face mask, it really was the best. I use YSL purple eye liner and lancombe grey one, L are only making brown eye liners now, WLF is that about, I can get brown from any chemist

Avon do lots of eyeliners in plain or sparkly colours.

Try Avon glimmer stick. I’ve had the no7 purple one and got a purple glimmer stick.
I’m still lamenting the loss of a no7 blusher, soft damson or something… after a few years I found a bourjouis one that was almost as good, then they discontinued bourjouis! I’m destined to look like aunt sally forever, with silly bright blushers 😒

I still miss Bourjois cil a cil mascara amd the boots 17 liquid liner with the old style brush. Must be 20 years since I had them.

There's rumours that it is coming back and some stores seem to have kept a place for it but it's been missing for a while now

Ah yes to soft damson and changing to bourjouis @NadiaVulvoKov, we must have the same skin tone
I miss those too, every blusher is so pink now, it's like theatre makeup

My favkhrite gilchirst and Soanes shampoo (used for many years after staying in hotel which used it) has been impossible to find for around a year. They say it’s short term problem but I’ve given up. I would have stocked up had i known (thereby worsening the problem for others, I am aware). Haven’t settled on good alternative yet.

Dior's Midnight Poison is the product I miss the most. Tbf to Dior it was a limited edition perfume but I still miss it.

I also miss Cinema by YSL.

There's a whole heap of Lush products I loved which disappeared inc., Sonic Death Monkey shower gel, christmas eve bubble bar and stardust bath ballistic.

Oh, and when I was at Uni Bourjois did an eyeliner effect mascara which was brilliant. I was gutted when it was discontinued.
