Saw this on twitter (Jonathan Karl @jonkarl)

Trump didn’t just lose the election.

He lost 60-plus legal challenges.

He lost in his efforts to get Republican state legislatures to undo the results

He lost the votes in Congress challenging the results

He lost his effort to get his VP to overturn the results

He lost three separate counts in Georgia

He lost an audit conducted by his allies in Arizona

He lost audits in Michigan

He lost in his multiple efforts to get the Supreme Court to intervene

No candidate ever found more ways to lose an election than Donald Trump.

lol! I hope Doofus sees that. If we're lucky it'll give him an apoplexy!

There is absolutely no way that Trump wrote this himself. It's a tissue of lies, but it's coherent.

Lookit there! The length of those paragraphs on the second page! He wouldn't be able to read right through one of them aloud, let alone write it.

Liz Harrington is Doofus' main 'spokeswoman' and apparently his 'shill' on Twitter. What's the point of banning Doofus if his minions just carry on with his rantings?

Nah, he didn't write that. TBH I couldn't make myself read the whole thing, it was too nauseating. But what I did read sounded like Bannon to me.

AcrossthePond55 · 07/01/2022 18:16

I know I should get over it, but it just tweaks my tits when Doofus styles himself as '45th President of the United States' on his 'statements' or other documents/adverts. No other former president has ever used their former title as if it was still current. The most you would see would be them being referred to as 'Former President '.

www.rawstory.com/mike-flynn-riot/

“Flynn compared insurrectionists to Jesus Christ, saying Jesus at 13 years old went into “the temple and ransacked it. He would be called a domestic terrorist today.”

That's a real "citation needed" moment. Unless "sitting with the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions" is "ransacking the Temple".

Also, Luke is clear that he was twelve when he stayed behind "on my Father's business", not thirteen.

And there I thought the Evangelical Christians studied the Bible. I mean, I don't do that, but we had that story when I was at school, and if I can remember it more than sixty years later you'd think that people who read the Book might get it right, or notice when someone got it that wrong.

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 09/01/2022 18:32

Sitting in the midst. I shall never know why I wrote "with" there.

You are right, Jesus went into the temple at 13 to question the rabbis.

He 'ransacked the temple' (actually the courtyard) as an adult because they were selling animals for sacrifice, rather than bartering or trading for them. He wanted to stop the turning of the temple into a marketplace, a 'den of robbers', ripping off people coming to offer sacrifices according to Old Testament law.

What would Jesus say about the 'den of robbers' the rotunda of the Capitol if saw the GOP legislators peddling their influence to outside lobbyists for cash and 'favours', I wonder?

That apt fire is devastating! Apparently the 'ignition point' was a malfunctioning space heater, but non-working smoke alarms and fire doors contributed to the injuries/loss of life.

This was, from what I could tell, subsidized housing so many low income tenants. I'm wondering how much lax or no inspections and code enforcement played in this. Would lax enforcement happen on Central Park West or thereabouts? I doubt it.

There is hearing today in the case of Mary Trump v Donald Trump

Covered here on twitter if anyone is interested: @LawCrimeNews

DuncinToffee · 11/01/2022 16:14

Forgot to add, Mary's lawsuit accuses her aunt Maryanne Barry and uncle Donald Trump of defrauding her.

Could be a daytime television show Grin

Roussette · 11/01/2022 16:21

I saw that. An interesting one.

Just also reading how Jim Jordan refuses to co-operate with the Jan.6th investigation.

What does that actually mean? What will happen if he just refuses

DuncinToffee · 11/01/2022 16:30

No Idea what would happen.

I also found this hearing from yesterday
lawandcrime.com/u-s-capitol-breach/trumps-lawyer-in-jan-6-cases-tells-judge-he-cant-think-of-example-of-where-president-wouldnt-be-immune-for-speech/

It's quite unreal.

To be brutally honest, at this point when I hear that an anti-vaxxer, covid-denier, or Doofus conspiracy theorist, especially one that has been spouting lies in the public eye, dies of covid I just sort of shrug my shoulders and think "Well, what did you expect if you're going to be an idiot?" That is not to say I have no sympathy for their families, but when they turn out to be deniers too that have suddenly had a 'come to Jesus moment' I will admit that my sympathy gets dialed down a notch.
