To ask coughing DH to sleep elsewhere ?

DH has been coughing at night (12am-4am) most nights for about 8 months
He refuses to go to the Dr or even take a cough syrup
*He’s also a smoker

He wakes up myself AND our little baby ( who’s cot is still in our room) most nights: last night, he woke us up several times ( and it’s me that has to get baby back to sleep)
The pets then wake up and start pottering about cos they hear me shushing they baby /general owner activity ..

AIBU to send him BACK to the spare room? To save disturbing everyone all night?

Yanbu! It’s so awful being woken up constantly.

You'd be better off making him go to the doctor. Especially as he's a smoker.
