What distance can you travel on a cross trainer in 30 minutes?

Im trying to build up by adding 0.2km each day. It is going quite well and whilst I'm still slow and fat i definitely feel better. I figure I can devote 30 minutes a day to this. How far should i be pedalling as a soon to be fit person?

I think you mostly stay in the same place when on a cross trainer.

I think it probably depends on the resistance and climb settings? I am not a big cross trainer fan so I don't know what even a ballpark distance for 30 mins would be.

😂 following with interest though as I can't stay motivated on mine...

To hell and back?

Honestly im not such a fan either but i like that i am getting fitter. Very slowly but definitely. I figure when i increase my distance so that it takes me 30 minutes ill decide on a daily target and concentrate on getting faster.

Get a Fitbit as you can build your steps up on one as a guide

Hankunamatata · 07/11/2021 23:38

Iv been working on keeping speed the same but increasing resistance every couple of weeks.

CherryPieface · 07/11/2021 23:38

I think around 4 miles is good for a beginner?

Oblahdeeoblahdoe · 07/11/2021 23:39

It depends on the resistance but I'd say about 10km in 30 minutes would be good.
I tend to listen to podcasts while on mine and aim for calories burned rather than distance.

Flavabobble · 07/11/2021 23:53

I generally do between 2-3 miles in 30 minutes on the cross trainer at the gym, but I alter the resistance and incline every so often.
