Can’t look at Blippi the same way anymore

I have always found Blippi (the toddler TV maker) intensely annoying. I hate watching him but my kids are obsessed. They are allowed to watch one a day and only want Blippi.

I could tolerate it being on in the background but since reading about his Harlem shake video, it makes me nauseous to look at him. AIBU?

But it’s pre blippi and not in his blippi costume. It’s a bit gross but he was younger and people so stupid things 🤷🏻‍♀️

Also there’s a different actor playing Blippi in the newer videos if that helps

He's a bit wild, so it isn't hugely surprising.
Fake Blippi (Flippi) is the weird bit, that they just substitute some random bloke in a hat and expect nobody to question it.

Yeah unfortunately my 12 year old niece 'helped' my 5 year old Google Blippi on her tablet to show him this. I wasn't best pleased!

There was a bit of scandal in the US when people booked a Blippi show and then got Flippi. Imagine it, stood there trying to explain to your 3yo why there's a strange man there who isn't the strange man he wanted to meet but just dressed up as him.

As I wrote that, it gave me a mild panic about how to make sure DS doesn't see too many different Santas...
