Willow and hall - are they collating?

I ordered sofas. They have taken 3k and are completely not responding to any attempts to contact them. I'm panicking that they are quietly going bust and I've been an idiot to order from them. Anyone heard anything reliable? I had no idea they had any problems but they are acting like a company going under fast.

find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/08224678/insolvency

Well they have certainly been having problems in the last year according to this, but I have no idea what is happening now.

Hopefully someone with knowledge if CVAs will come along and explain what this means.

the Trust Pilot reviews are really worrying too.

sorry, but it doesn't look good does it.

SeemingSeamstress · 03/11/2021 10:45

did you pay on a credit card? (you have section 75 protection if ANY of the cost was put onto the credit card, with a few other caveats etc. it's over the £100 minimum for protection)

clearly that's only if you get bad news that they are actually going under.

TotallySuper · 03/11/2021 10:48

I sincerely hope you paid by cc. If you did claim it back now via your cc company - you can cite their lack of communication and that you want to cancel etc and the company will recall the funds for you. This may then prompt a call from the sofa company so at least you'll get the communication you're after. If you didn't pay by cc this will be a lesson for future purchases.

DeepaBeesKit · 03/11/2021 11:24

Thanks all for advice re CC. We did indeed pay on CC so I'm going to try and get the funds recalled.

Anyone recommend a different sofa company? There goes my plan of having new sofas in in time for Christmas Sad

DFS can't go wrong

I got a good sofa from Sofa Sofa a couple of years ago - don't know what the more recent reviews are like, but I'm very happy with mine.

Next and marks and spencer have been great for sofas for us, still going strong after 14 years
