Just that really, what do you think happened? Picture in local press, - nobody was seriously hurt thankfully.

Reversed down the curved drive of the house on the right, badly miss judged the turn, went over the low wall half sideways and got wedged.

TeenTitan007 · 02/11/2021 21:54

Flipped over from the drive next door because it was going too fast and it hit the low wall in the middle? Hmm

TeenTitan007 · 02/11/2021 21:55

@iwishiwasafish - we think alike Grin

ImpossibleGirl86 · 02/11/2021 21:55

That's not a curved driveway it's a footpath!

No idea OP🤔

Pavlova31 · 02/11/2021 21:56

Glad everyone is ok .
Will have a think …

Wtfdoipick · 02/11/2021 21:57

But next door is a path not a drive, the car wouldn't get through that gap

Rockbird · 02/11/2021 21:57

It must have come over that wall, there's no other way it could have got there.

Good point. I still think that’s the entry point though. Maybe the drive is further to the right, and they left the hand-break off?
Professionallytorn · 02/11/2021 21:58

I find it particularly odd that the wall and the shrubs all appear to be intact !

Was being dropped off a car transporter and was released too soon and high causing it to hit the ground straight on then flipped over ?

Nah, that’s not unusual. It’s quite common for cars that have come off the road to be missed because the shrubbery bounces straight back.
lljkk · 02/11/2021 22:04

Human beings flipped it over for fun?

WE can't see full view of house on (our, viewer's) right -- there may be a driveway there out of camera shot. I do admit that lack of any damage to wall or shrubs is puzzle.

With that many emergency service ppl there - was someone trapped inside upside down vehicle?

Ekofisk · 02/11/2021 22:09

Never underestimate what a (stupid) driver can do.

I’ve seen a car wedged at 90° to the traffic in a single lane in roadworks with concrete lane dividers. No idea how she managed it.

RachelHasThoseInBurgundy · 02/11/2021 22:13

The house used to be 20 feet to the left but moved over really fast, flipping the car and wedging it between the wall and house.

@lljkk. Apparently someone was in the car and subsequently rescued, no serious injuries 🙂

I imagine it was an elderly driver mixing up the brake and accelerator as happens often sadly.

Bingbong21 · 03/11/2021 20:45

I'm local too and we've been hypothesising since it appeared on the community FB group Grin
