Just found out my dd aged 17 is pregnant. She doesn't even know who the father is or when she conceived. Or when her last period was for that matter.
She did have a boyfriend and they split up a month or so ago. She confided she's slept with 2 other people since.
She thinks the unprotected sex happened no more than 6 weeks ago so she will 'just take the abortion pill and get rid of it'
She is immature and I do not think she is thinking clearly. I do not think in a million years she is ready to become a mum and if I'm honest it's my worst nightmare as she is incapable of looking after herself independently let alone a baby! But I am worried about her taking this pill and the possible side effects both physically and mentally.
Any advice would be appreciated. She acts like she doesn't care but I'm sure she does.

It's her decision and it sounds like she's made it. Encourage her to get on some LARC going forward.

It may have changed, but 11 years ago when I tried to get "the morning after pill" they wouldn't sell it to me because I left it too long after having unprotected sex (and it was only a few days).

I'm very grateful to that shop assistant as I would not have had my beautiful daughter otherwise
