How to avoid the lurgy

My house has been struck by the dreaded d&v bug. Husband totally wiped out by it. I am pregnant and really hate sickness bugs at the best of times so desperately want to avoid it. Any tips on staying germ free? I am bleaching worktops, washing hands lots, trying to keep the toilet clean without touching it too much....and other tips much appreciated!

You're doing all you can. Let lots of fresh air in too and wear gloves when cleaning, dispose of them quickly and frequently and do not touch your face.

When I get those types of bugs in the house the culprit is quarantined to the bedroom. They're not allowed to leave at all unless it's to the bathroom. I make up a spray bottle of part bleach and water and each time the sufferer uses the bathroom they are to spray the flush, the taps and the toilet bowl. No wiping, just spray (watch walls). I provide everything they need and bring it to them, but they aren't allowed down stairs at all until they've stopped it and then it's straight into the shower for them.

If more than bathroom then it's easier like.

I don't share a bedroom with anyone either though. Make sure you do all door handles, light switches, remotes etc. It's the only time I use bleach.

Also check multi touch places
Door handles and light switches
Mobile phones
Remote control (I often forget this one)
