Children swearing in front of you

We had a small gathering, just me, DH and grown up sons and my son's partner. For context they are in their 20s. One son was recounting a story that had swearing in it and wouldn't swear in front of me, he turned to his brother's girlfriend and said "she won't let me". AIBU in thinking this is really sweet that they still won't swear in front of me. I have hardly ever heard any of them swear. I must admit I don't like it (not to say I don't swear myself). In the end my other son's partner told the story. What's your thoughts?

My parents/inlaws have never sworn in front of me. I don’t swear in front of my parents, or my inlaws.

I don’t swear in front of my children. My children (well the older two) have never even slipped up in front of me.

I don’t think that’s a coincidence.

If everyone is an adult and the say the odd swear word I don't really care. If it was every other word I'd say something.

I think it's a bit put-on/twee/infantilising tbh when it's just a retelling of a story. I don't often swear in front of my parents either, but a lot of people adjust their speech to the audience. It not unusual.

If I was telling a story that involved swearing I wouldn't do the whole 'I can't say that word in front of you!' thing. I'd just tell the story because we are all adults.

My mum never swore. I do but never in front of her, she would have slapped me😜
At the end of her life, she had dementia I remember going to the care home to take her to a hospital appointment. She was refusing to come with us and told me to fuck off you stupid fanny when I said mum don't talk like that she told me I'm not your mum and you are a fucking fanny 😂😂
I was shocked that she spoke to me like that, while my sister lay on her bed pishing herself laughing.😂😂
