Confused about DS eating habits.

DS 22 months had a really shit cold that he only fully got over last week.

Since that he's decided he now has an aversion to food in a sauce aka bolognaise, chicken broth, beans, spaghetti hoops and is just refusing to try it completely

He has also been teething so I'm not sure what is actually going on.

Do I keep trying him or just give him what he likes? Is this sort of phase normal or?

Thanks :) I have anxiety so overthink absolutely everything

Entirely normal in my experience. DS often ends up with weird food aversions after he's been ill - normally more to do with texture than taste I think. I just keep serving whatever it is along with some 'safe foods' and it generally passes.

His sense of taste may be temporarily altered by the virus. Do t make a big deal of it .

Don’t not Do I

Carry on offering all the normal stuff, but mix it in with something he will actually eat too. Don't let it become an issue, try and keep your anxiety about it away from DS.
