Just a normal sized one, like a twirl or crunchie. On top of a normal (relatively) balanced diet. How unhealthy is this really?

@milkyaqua

Nothing like being a TOFI - Thin on the Outside, Fat on the Inside...
Crikey OP, your own doctor came on here to comment. How nice of you Dr @milkyaqua Hmm.

It's fine. Sugar is not the devil food that some people make it out to be and one normal sized bar of chocolate a day alongside an otherwise healthy, balanced diet and a fairly active lifestyle is not going to cause any major problems. I'm fat because I was eating massive portions as well as several bars of chocolate a day and not doing any exercise.

Come on OP, you know better than to start that sort of thread on MN.

You will attract the people who just love a competitive undereating thread and will be along shortly to say that they are still full to bursting after a mere SNIFF of an Easter egg in April.

Personally, I am really disappointed with what Cadbury and the rest of them have done to chocolate. It's really not what it used to be. But I do eat far too many caramel wafers and Border's biscuits chocolate gingers.

Mercurial123 · 29/10/2021 14:53

I eat two squares of 90% dark chocolate most days. Twix, Kit Kat etc are rubbish quality.

darkn · 29/10/2021 15:02

*That's too weird. Chocolate is so cheap now as is all rubbish food that's half the problem.

Yes i eat chocolate every day pretty
much*

thing is even if they did a price hike it wouldn't have the effect on sales in that you'd think. The masses would still buy it.

Pizzapizzaz · 29/10/2021 15:02

I do this, if not more. I also replace meals with chocolate - e.g. breakfast. It’s a habit I need to break, but have always done it! 😬

icedcoffees · 29/10/2021 15:05

God, it's absolutely fine.

V3nus · 29/10/2021 15:41

If it’s within a healthy calorie intake with a balanced diet I don’t see the issue.
Having a regular treat will stop binges and help
to maintain a consistent weight in my experience

Sleepyquest · 29/10/2021 15:59

I do this and didn't realise it was so shocking Grin I am overweight so maybe I should stop

grafittiartist · 29/10/2021 16:13

Easily eat one a day too!
Enjoy.

CounsellorTroi · 29/10/2021 16:17

@Guacamole001

Age 20 I probably did eat a bar a day. Now age 57 if I so much as looked at a bar daily I would be as big as a house lol.
Me too. Was stick thin my 20s and my daily lunch was a cheese sandwich, a packet of crisps and a chocolate bar.
AllThatFancyPaintsAsFair · 29/10/2021 16:17

Eat what you like, it's a bit odd to have to ask strangers about it though. Do you have issues with food? I'd think most people would know that it's probably not the best diet choice but it really isn't anyone's business or place to police what you eat

The ignorance on this thread is astounding. "Oh, it's in your daily calorie allowance!"

This sort of eating is setting you up for type 2 diabetes and fatty liver. Enjoy.

Branleuse · 29/10/2021 23:38

I dont see why not. Youre a long time dead
