Help, I got Footner on my hand

Posting for traffic as I'm a bit desperate.

A few days ago I thought I'd try Footner. All good and I'm still peeling, but it took a few days to start.

Around the same time my feet started peeling, my right palm did too. Stupid me didn't connect the dots and I simply pulled... i know I know and a pretty thick sheet of skin came off in one go, my whole index finger, half my middle finger and most of the top half of my palm Shock

It was only afterwards I realised that I took the socks off in the bath and rinsed briefly, with my right hand and didn't rinse my hands.

It felt ok at first but a day later and it's feeling really raw Sad what would you put on it? I have an array of stuff here but don't want to try the wrong thing and irritate it!

also feel free to tell me how stupid I am

Sounds sore. Sudocrem might help, and can you wear a thin soft white cotton glove or mitt? Or even a sock? That would provide a barrier and help prevent further damage. From the instructions, you need to protect the skin from uv light. That would include dull days.

I can’t answer your question but I have often considered the wonders of Footner and the effect it would have on my face. You have answered that question so thanks 🤣

Is the skin tight? I would vasaline it and glove it overnight

SummerHouse · 28/10/2021 16:12

Do your whole body immediately. Snake it out. Come back and show us the skin cloak. May I borrow it for Halloween? Grin

Sparklfairy · 28/10/2021 16:44

@SummerHouse what a brilliant yet terrifying idea. I'll pass thanks Grin As an aside though, how much weight do you reckon I'd lose shedding a layer or two of skin everywhere?!

Looks like it might have to be sudocrem, if I can find a glove. I didn't see/realise about avoiding UV light, so that would explain why it feels so raw I suppose.

If I can't find a glove I may be in trouble, as I'm working tonight and will get sudocrem all over my keyboard Grin

I had a bath and although it stung at first it doesn't look quite as inflamed now!

Blimey op that's raw. Can you ask a pharmacy? My DS had red raw hands from sanitiser and they said sudocrem was making it worse. They gave E45.

If no gloves could you fashion a pair from clung film?

I would ask chemist but I recommend paw paw cream available

If ever there was a time to dig the PVA glue out.... it's this.

GreenGordon · 28/10/2021 17:05

Aloe Vera.

For once I'm glad I chew my nails to buggery because if I had any I would definitely be pulling at the edges where are my tweezers
