My dd is 6.
She’s got her friend over to play for the day.

AIBU to just leave them to play and do what they want?
Or do I need to provide entertainment? Baking, crafts?

A bit of both. If they're happy off playing, let 'em rip. If they're getting a bit fractious, doing a targeted, guided activity can help. A visit to a park is always good. I found that often things were wearing a bit thin towards the end of the day, and they got a tad tired, so I'd whack on a movie for them to watch.
