Why is he like this?

I have a chronic illness and often tell my best friend when i'm at my worst with it. I don't go on, I just mention it in a text and that is that.

Now, he texts me every day, multiple times a day without fail. The day after I've mentioned i'm not feeling great, though, I don't get a text! It's when I could do with the support most. I really don't go on about my illness. Just a one line usually i'm not feeling today and the pain is back, something like that. What's going on?!

You made it about you and not about him.

RainbowBriteUk · 25/10/2021 20:45

@Cuntness Did I let my woes get in the way of his ego?

I love your name!

Maybe he is leaving you alone because you have said you are not feeling great? To many people that means 'give me some space/time'

crumblebug · 25/10/2021 20:51

Agree with @clockover

I wouldn't message someone several times a day if they were unwell either. I would assume they were resting. If you need his support ask for it.

firsttimeclock · 25/10/2021 20:53

Is it just this time he's not responded? Does he normally respond the day after you say you're now well? If so, maybe he's had a really busy day, lost his phone etc?

RainbowBriteUk · 25/10/2021 20:53

Although I cherish him as a friend, he is selfish sometimes. I don't think he's doing it to leave me alone or give me some space as when he starts talking to me again, he never asks if i'm feeling better.
