His phone was plugged into the car, that's why I know. Number not saved on his phone. Just says, you didn't read my message, goodbye, good luck.

He worked in Thailand briefly more than 3 years ago.

I called it. Person sounds Thai to me but didn't say much and then hung up.

Could easily be a case of mistaken messages.

And in any case- your DH didn't answer.

Randoms used to pop up when I used WhatsApp too. I just ignored.
The fact that the person is complaining that their message hasn't been read kind of suggests that your partner isn't interested. He probably doesn't even know who it is.

Ask him.

It's more likely spam than anything else tbh.

I got one from a woman in China the other day. I would assume it’s spam, unless it said something that was obviously for him.

They had his first name

wont it say his first name at the top of his whatsapp though? So they could have got it from that?

I had this message "I don't see a future with a guy like you. You move on with your stock"

Dh had similar recently. Mentioned him by name and asked how he had slept.
I happened to be away that night, so in a sleepy state he thought it was me & replied telling this person how he had been up in the night clearing up a fur ball the cat had bought up

I once had a text from a lady describing exactly what she was going to do with me the next time I saw her. I politely declined saying that although sounded fantastic I'm not sure my then wife would approve. She did text back apologising in a very embarrassed way.

I wonder what a shitstorm that could have caused if my partner was looking at my phone at the time the original message popped up!
