Woman with aggressive dog

I was walking my dog this morning and came across a woman with a big dog, looked like a Doberman. As soon as we walked past it started barking and growling at us and then pulled her over and got very close to my dog. I shouted at her to get hold of the bloody thing and she was very rude in her response!! Was I being unreasonable to not want a snarling Doberman lunging at my dog with a woman who clearly couldn’t control it??

Sounds pretty standard. The dog was on a lead. Back when I had a dog there was a man who walked two huskies on leads and they would always go for every dog that came past and yank the poor bloke with them.

I'm not sure what you can do apart from give the woman a wide berth if you see her again. My experience ended up being 90% of dog walking was watching out for other dogs and remembering which ones were twats to avoid.
