Where do people these days find a partner?
Really basic question I know

I’ve been to two Tinder weddings, have a friend who met her DH on eHarmony, my DH’s Aunt met her husband on Match.com. We’ve also been to one Bumble wedding and one Hapn wedding, and have two other sets of friends in LTR’s who met on Tinder.

Seems like online is the place to go now! Just follow the usual safety advice and meet in public places.

Met my DP (soon to be DH) on Hinge. OLD is a bloody minefield and I kissed a lot of frogs before I found him. Funnily enough we have various friends in common, I used to work with his best mate and we'd even been at the same parties in the past, so could easily have met in real life but the app gave us the impetus to start a conversation.

You can meet people when walking dogs (loads of people used to talk to me when I had a dog), or going to a gym, or a hobby group, or meetup groups, doesn't have to just be online. just generally getting out and about helps

I met my DH at work

Find people who share the same interests. Love reading? Join a book group. Like sport and exercise? Join a gym. I think some people look too hard and so they don’t find it. If you join a club or a group to have fun, rather than to seek out a new lover, it’ll be easier.

I met my DP online. He was my first and only date. OLD can absolutely work. We've been together 16 years and now have a six month old. Best of luck!
