Curtains open or closed while away?

Posting here for traffic as we're leaving in a couple of hours.

When you go away do you leave the curtains open or closed? It's late October so here it's light at about 7am and dark at 6pm.

I can never decide which is better/worse - curtains closed during the day or curtains open during the night?

WWYD?

I shut at least one bedroom curtains... As thry don't know if you have someone in house working shifts

Good point - we actually do have someone in the house working shifts so their curtains are often different.

Don’t forget to leave lights on timers, but only in the rooms with closed curtains, so nobody can see in when they’re on.

We leave one front set of bedroom curtains closed and the bathroom light on.

The worst option is when curtains are left half closed as often happens. To me that makes it obvious people are away both day and night.
Ditto when people reverse their cars right up to the garage. I suppose that’s to stop people breaking in that way but it makes it so bloody obvious they are away.

At this time of year, my curtains stay shut a24/7 on weekdays. I leave for work before it gets light and return after dark.
So I leave my curtains closed.

I vote closed.

Timers for lights and the tele are great, but I suppose
you don't have time to do that this time round.
I hope you have a great trip, and safe homecoming!
