Hi.

So basically I moved into this house a few months back and we just say hello when seeing each other etc but There’s two men and at night they stand having a cigarette, and when I pull up in my car after work I can here them making comments like ‘here she is’ I just ignore it but then I hear ‘she’s...’ and looking at me and basically talking about me but not sure what they’re saying but they stare. They’re always watching me with hawk eyes when I park up then I turn around and see them looking into my house when I open the door, every night. When they’re not outside smoking I can see them through the blinds and they’re looking at me getting in car, taking bins out, whatever I may be doing. Sometimes one of them says ‘not talking today are we?’ If I don’t say hello. Wwyd?

Forgot to mention they live directly across.

I'd put them in the category of weird. Have some stock phrases like "sorry, got a lot on my mind at the moment" if they ask what say "sorry it's too upsetting to talk about right now".

Bonsaibreaker · 22/10/2021 20:04

I would probably make a point of saying hello, wave or nod and then not think about it again.

Why is it bothering you?

Not that you are wrong to be bothered just is it that they don't speak to you but about you?

drpet49 · 22/10/2021 20:08

I wouldn’t like this. Why are always commenting about you?

SweetBabyCheeses99 · 22/10/2021 20:31

Fucking creeps. Maybe if they just said hello to you rather than staring and talking about you with the aim of intimidating you then they might find they got a hello back! I’d just ignore them

Andwander · 23/10/2021 06:40

They probably talk about your paranoia.Stop watching what they are doing and get on with your life.

🤣wtf^ have a word with yourself.

OP I wouldn’t like it either, creepy and weird. I’d wave, say morning and carry on about my business. If they have wives I’d make a point of speaking to them. Invest in blinds if you haven’t already!

This OP- you've listed their movements, their activities, what you can hear them saying, and that you can see them watching you through (their?) blinds.

It's not them that's weird.

QuicklyNowThen · 23/10/2021 06:57

Give your head a wobble @SapereAude

Yes op id feel exactly the same they said creepy. Definitely blinds if you've not already got them.

SapereAude · 23/10/2021 07:02

Seeing as the OP manages to watch her neighbours (across the street) through their blinds, I don't think it's my head needing a wobble.
They haven't "said creepy" either @QuicklyNowThen.

OP, how the heck can you see them watching you from across the street and through their blinds?

HazelandChacha · 23/10/2021 07:05

If you are ignoring them they are probably talking about the fact that you say hello sometimes but then ignore them other times & are wondering why.

They may also be commenting that you always seem to be looking at them through the blinds!

MacNTosh · 23/10/2021 07:09

Kill them with kindness, cheery wave ‘good morning, isn’t it a lovely day’ or ‘evening chaps, hope you have a good night’ etc. Also having a chat with one of them or both but on their own, just small talk about which bin it is this week, or the weather, Halloween whatever. It. Won’t be so much fun for them when you’re not reaching by scuttling off and they’ll feel guilty because you’re nice to them.

Suzi888 · 23/10/2021 07:15

@SapereAude the men are outside their house smoking and talking about the OP.
OP isn’t listening to them inside their house Confused go back, re-read.

Suzi888 · 23/10/2021 07:16

Maybe the blinds are open and op can see silhouettes.

Malin52 · 23/10/2021 07:17

Why the fuck do men think it's reasonable to behave like this. Fucking twats.

Andwander · 23/10/2021 08:35

2 men living opposite OP.Most likely they are gay and there is possibly a good dose of homophobia from OP going on and a lot of women here need to get a grip. Not every man that is looking at you fancies you.the 2 men opposite probably talk about OP's homophobic attitude!

Yep. This.

Hi guys!!!!!! How are things this evening!!!

Bluntness100 · 23/10/2021 08:48

Why didn’t you just smile and wave th first time “here she is” is just a quite common statement, like hi. The situation is you all think each other is odd right now.
