To ask to WFH?

I have a fairly big conference on at work headed by me and two colleagues. There's lots of preperation to be done in setting up but I have endometriosis and I'm flooding really badly. It's been gone a few days but came back today with a passion. I don't like letting colleagues down but would I B U to ask to WFH in this instance?

Absolutely not, take the day off to flood in peace at your own home. This happened to me a few years ago when I was leading a conference abroad and had no option but to attend and I ended up having to leave mid way through the day to change my clothes. So embarrassing. You shouldn't have to do that.

Thanks @Tumilnaughts. It's so difficult sometimes to know what to do for the best. I hate leaving my colleagues in it like this but I don't want to have to worry about flooding my pants! It's so uncomfortable. Sorry you had the same. Hope you're OK now.

I'd take the day as sick and then rest up if you (reasonably) can't get in to assist with the conference, unless there is stuff you can do to support from home.

@Fetarabbit I can't support with that from home but I have lots of other work to be getting on with. I just need to be near the shower and a toilet.
