OK so I know everyone is going to go OTT this year for Christmas (if we can all get turkeys) but what about Halloween? Am I being unreasonable to keep expectations low, stay in, watch a movie? Or should we be LARGING it.

I won't be going ott for Halloween or Christmas this year.

Do whatever makes you happy, I suppose?

My DP's family LOVES Halloween and we are spending it with them this year, they are planning lots of fun things for my DC and are very excited. Not lots of people just a fun weekend. The house has been decorated since Oct 1st. They have a Halloween tree and everything.

We've been to a Pumpkin Patch but we are not going guising again this year. Might go for a drive around the neighborhood to see decorated houses (if petrol crisis is over).

Well do the usual stuff - pumpkin patch and guising on the night. No Halloween discos at school or anything but dd has been invited to a friends party.

I’ve got two of DS’s friends coming round. Will decorate the house and do some spooky games, spooky buffet, bit of a disco etc and a piñata. Instead of trick or treating we will go for a walk around the neighbourhood and for every pumpkins they spot they can take a sweet from my pumpkin basket. I think it will work and is relatively safe. Normally do a big party plus trick or treating - this seems like a good compromise it think
