🤢 Help me.
I ate a chocolate slice mr kipping cake earlier all seemed fine with it. I've gone to open another (in separate packaging same box) and it's mouldy!
Been having stomach cramps for a few hours have I just given myself food poisoning? BlushShock

You'll be fine.

FlamesEmbersAshes · 20/10/2021 20:53

But was the one you ate mouldy? Surely you’d have tasted it if it was? Mould has a distinctive taste.

I wouldn’t assume there was anything wrong with the one you ate if it tasted fine and was in separate packaging.

My DH took the mouldy green beans out of the bin (where I’d just put them) and cooked and ate them alongside the furry mini sweet corn.
His reasoning was, we only purchased them a few days ago…….. I didn’t eat them.
He’s fine, you’ll be fine.
Both cake and veg are pretty gross when mouldy IMO!

Cryalot2 · 20/10/2021 20:53

No don't worry you will be fine.
Hope you feel better soon .

JaneDoe21 · 20/10/2021 20:56

Thanks everyone think I'm just being paranoid then. Just linked the two together and got worried 😂

Most moulds are food spoilage organisms rather than food poisoning. You should be fine. Stomach cramps are most likely psychosomatic.

I honestly never thought they went mouldy! I’ve eaten them OLD and I’ve never seen mould on it… was it green?
