Had over a bottle of wine last night. I have such a headache and feel sick. My cat also must have brought a mouse in during the night and there is guts on the living room floor which I really can't deal with or I will vomit.

My head feels like it's going to explode. DD back from her dads in an hour and I don't think I'm able to pull myself together.

Am I the only one?

I'm not but I sympathise- I did this a couple weeks ago. It was horrific.

SisterBeaverhausen · 18/10/2021 09:21

Not a chance, pregnant and been working since 8.

Keep hydrated (sparkling water is good for settling the stomach) and take some painkillers, also get some food so you can stabilise your sugar levels. You'll have to deal with the guts sooner rather than later as the cat may spread them around the house. So do it quick like ripping off a plaster.

Hope you feel better soon.

On a Sunday night is pretty spicy!

Get some carbs and a full fat coke

AllThingsServeTheBeam · 18/10/2021 09:23

No but I was on Saturday. I ordered a Toby carvery on deliveroo and it sorted me right out

Mumdiva99 · 18/10/2021 09:23

Yup. No alcohol since Thursday. ( a little unusual for me). I had 2 g&t's and thought I was dying the next day. No idea if the gin is bad, I have an allergy to it - was a new bottle of orange gin - or if I am starting to get hormone based migraines as I've had this before and have come on this weekend.

Can you eat some toast. Neck a paracetamol (or alka seltzer XS if you have them). Drink some full fat coke and then sort out the animal guts.

When your daughter gets home go for a walk - the fresh air will work wonders and then snuggle on the sofa with her and books. (I'm guessing she's young due to the time she's coming home).

Not today but I’ve been in your position more than once 😩
Get some painkillers down you, carbs and something sugary, Coke or sweet tea, whatever. Chocolate bar will also do.
I also like to take a decongestant as I seem to get really blocked sinuses, plus it wakes me up a bit.
Deal with the guts, you don’t want your dd coming back into that or the cat making more of a mess. Stick a mask on if you need to.
Then a day of snuggles and nesting, CBeebies, books, keep it easy. Have a walk later to clear your head if it starts to pound a bit as the day goes on.
Keep the fluids up and take more painkillers as the timing allows.
We all have our moments.

heedsare · 18/10/2021 09:31

Thank you all. Yeah I think I just need to deal with the guts first of all, then will make myself a sugary tea. Really don't think I can eat anything at the moment. I'm on the verge of being sick, I think it might happen 😩. My daughter is 8 but we are in Scotland so it's the October hols and not back to school till tomorrow.

Full fat coke and a bag of ready salted crisps!

Mumdiva99 · 18/10/2021 10:08

Aah at 8 years old you can make it a fun stay at home day. Movie marathon. Dominoes for lunch. Have fun.

Userguaranteed · 18/10/2021 10:23

🙄

@Userguaranteed

🙄
Always one isn’t there

Full day coke and ready salted crisps
Anadin extra work well for me
Not too much water in one go or you’ll probably be sick
A cold flannel on the forehead

StarryNightSparkles · 18/10/2021 10:37

Not me but sending you sympathy op. A hot water bottle on the back of your neck will help your head. Paracetamol, frequent sips of water and rest. Toast if you can manage it.

Wishing you a speedy recovery.

heedsare · 18/10/2021 10:41

Thanks, can only blame myself which makes it worse. I'm off it till Christmas now!

My daughters dad has kindly agreed to get me a full fat coke from the shop and I have ready salted crisps in the house!

Full sympathy from me, if I'm that bad I tend to sort of lay down whilst attempting first part of toast etc.

Shower to feel fresh and comfy clothes and slob!
