Our toddler has become peppa pig obsessed. Anytime he sees our phones he basically demands to watch peppa, sometimes I let him, sometimes I don't. We can go a full day without any screen time, as soon as OH is home, he puts peppa on. Right now, our toddler isn't sleeping due to teething, I've been up with him all night so far, screaming, throwing himself on the floor, just generally not settling. OH has taken him off me and has put peppa on. Am I being unreasonable for not wanting our child to be watching TV constantly, ESPECIALLY at bedtime/when he should be sleeping??
I'm not totally against TV time, but I feel like I'm setting myself up to fail. I don't want him having rubbish sleep due to too much screen time or too close to bedtime. But OH can't handle the tantrums and not sleeping, so thinks peppa pig resolves it all, when in reality, it will just make bedtimes harder for me, because child will expect to be allowed to watch peppa? Will he think "if I don't go to sleep, they'll get me up and let me watch peppa"??
