Not very exciting but feel a bit stuck...Does anyone know a good restaurant in Southampton? Visiting my Step-Daughter at Uni on Saturday and she's asked if we could eat somewhere near the West Quay..Italian would be nice but not overly fussed..TIA!

Not fine dining, but Cosmo World Buffet at West Quay was good for us this week. Other towns have it so may be known to you, but all you can eat buffet for £15pp - foods from around the world, so you can have a bit of everything.

West Quay have a new(ish) part with lots of restaurants.
You have Bryons Burgers, Red Dog Salon, TGI, Nando's and many more.

Actually, £15 was on a Monday, might be more on a Saturday .

I haven't been there for years but there was a great restaurant called White Star - somehow related to the line that ran titanic

Park at West Quay and head to the bit by the walls (it’s signposted with lots of restaurants). There’s a Franco Manca (great pizza) and another Italian - l’osteria - there too.

Or if you want a proper rather than chain Italian, Puccinis or Piccolo Mondo, which are both a little north of the city centre, you can park at the civic centre or Bedford place.

Ennio’s for Italian and it’s close to west quay.
There are a lot of good restaurants in Oxford Street as well, I’ve just discovered one I was going to recommend is now an Italian - Marco’s. No idea what it’s like but online reviews are good.

Been a while since I lived there, but The Platform Tavern and The Dancing Man Brewery both used to be really good. More pub than restaurant, but with lovely food and only a couple of minutes walk from West Quay.

Thanks everyone, I was getting myself stressed about it last night. Lots of food for thought Grin
