Don't want to go to work tomorrow

I know I'm being unreasonable because I feel like a child. I'm upset and fed up! My manager is constantly on my case about everything, petty little things. And I just feel chipped away at. It's definitely not good for productivity because I'm second-guessing myself constantly. Self pity central, ha!

The stupidest thing is that I actually like my job!

(just not being made to feel stupid while doing it)

It's a horrible feeling
What kind of workplace setting are you in?

Got any annual leave you can take for a break?

Coffeeonmytoffee · 14/10/2021 23:45

Keep a note of the incidents with times and dates. Then think about how you are going to deal with it. Bullies don't like to be stood up to.
If you need a day off then take one!

I nearly started a thread saying the same ! A coworker constantly gas lights me and picks holes in everything I do - it’s soul destroying, I get where you’re coming from Op.

I have a bit of annual leave but I can't take it at the moment because we're in a "blocked period".

My work is probably 50% office-based, 50% people-facing. I think my line manager is also under pressure and stress, busy period. But the micro-managing! The constant nit-picking! Honestly, I can't take it, lol. It's literally at the level of, "why did you use this word rather than this one?"

Sorry to anyone who is experiencing similar, it's so goddamn frustrating.

I think "I'm tired and fed up" is probably not a valid reason to take a day off BlushWink

My manager is the same down to the use of words. Which is laughable because I am actually very proficient in the English language and it's her second language with her being from Nigeria.

I find her very difficult and basically I'm going off on maternity leave in 2 weeks time and I'll be looking for a new job before I'm due to go back in a year's time.
I'm hoping she either goes off on maternity in that time OR moves into a different role.
I know how you feel.

Are they usually this bad then or do you think it's just this stressy period?
