Is anyone currently waiting PCR results

Sorry it's not an AIBU but I can never find the chat topic.

I was just wondering how long people are waiting for their PCR results at the moment?

Me! But I only sent mine off in the last post yesterday. I think it's about 3 days or less if you post them back, and 24 hrs if you go to a walk-in site as far as I remember

Think it depends how you got your test. I had a PCR on Tuesday morning and got the results back in the early hours of Weds. That was from a drive through test

Ours came back within 24hrs, I made sure to post in a towns priority box though and not our local village one!

Dc and I had one on Mon 9.30am at a drive through. DC’s were back by 6am Tues, mine was about an hour later. We’re in the Kent.

Test 11.30am Tuesday, emailed results at 2.10am Wednesday.

Tested at the local test centre on Monday at 6pm, got text and email with results at lunchtime yesterday

Drive-through test around 10.30am, results by about 6.00am the following morning.

Just waiting for a postal PCR result now, but only posted yesterday so may have a bit to wait yet.

These are coming back quite quickly! Took my ds to a drive through yesterday at 9.30, still waiting for results.,… 34 hours so far……

Me. We went on Sunday 6pm and results came through 6 am the next morning.

Back again this morning as my other child tested positive on a LFT first thing this morning. Did the test at 8am and still waiting.

My sister did one Monday at midday and also didn't get results until 6am the following day. So seems to be in my area it doesn't matter what time you go for your test, the results all come out around the same time the following morning.

I had one at 16.30 on Sunday and got the results back at 10.40 on Monday (am in London, if that matters)

Taking about within 48 hours from posting them. Was 20 hours when went to a test centre.

My result from the local walk-in site came back in just under 20 hours last week (negative).

We’ve done a few lately.

9:30 am Sunday, results 4pm Monday
5:30pm Monday, results 3pm Tuesday
5:30pm yesterday (Tuesday) - still waiting for results.

All at the same drive through test centre.

Sorry to hear yours came back positive @DialSquare, I hope you're not feeling too bad!

Mine was through a walk in test centre first thing yesterday morning.

I know it's not even 48hrs yet but we've not waited this long before.

Hopefully I'll know by the end of the night so I can let my head know if I can be in 🤞🏼

All of mine and DCs drive through tests have been under 24 hours (we have collectively had 4 in the last 2 weeks!)

I'm not too bad at the moment. Feels like I've got a bad cold and that has been the case since Saturday. Just hope it stays like that!
