Can DS1 still go to college?

Posting here for traffic as I need a quick answer.

Came home from work last night and DP told me DS2 had a fever and was asleep (its normally a battle to get him to sleep). He then told me he found out someone in DS’ class has covid so he booked him in for a PCR anyway to be on the safe side.

DS1 is fine, no symptoms and has tested negative on a LFT this morning.

I'm just wondering if he can still go to college today? He usually wouldn't be able to but has those rules changed?

He can go but morally if he was mine i would be lateral flow testing as a minimum

Yes, he can go, no need to isolate if he doesn't have symptoms. If he has symptoms, do a test and if it's negative he can go

She literally said DS1 is fine, no symptoms and has tested negative on a LFT this morning.
