AIBU to hate snogging?

I used to love full on snogging with tongues when I was a teenager and young adult. Now it just grosses me out and I just don’t need or want it. Not helped by having a blocked nose most of the year due to hay fever in summer and almost continuous coughs and colds caught from DC in winter. I would rather just get straight to the sex part.

There is no issue with my DP and I have felt like this for probably 10 years now, with various different previous partners. I have good sex with almost certain orgasm every time, and just don’t need or want snogging as part of foreplay, or snogging at any other time.

Is it just me? Is it a problem? I read a magazine article a few years ago in Stylist magazine that argued that snogging is critical for relationship survival….do you think this is true?

Same here. Used to love it. In fact as a teenager my boyfriend and I used to challenge ourselves to snog from Bethnal Green to Hainault without once breaking lip contact.

Now it gives me the ick. As others have said, I really don't want someone else's spit in my mouth nor his tongue seeking out my fillings.

YABU. I haven't snogged anyone for ages but had a very vivid dream last night about a delivery guy grabbing me and kissing me passionately. The dream went slightly wrong though when a Ukrainian woman appeared with a baby that had been burned with hair straighteners

I don't mind it but I think that a slow, soft kiss right place right time is so much better.

God I love snogging.....couldn't stand kissing my husband, thought I had just gone off it, could kiss my BF for hours, think we did actually kiss for hours the first night we met 😂 rather unseemly for a couple of our age but nevermind, it's a great memory

Haven't had a good snog for years now as EXDP hated it, so we never ever had big proper kisses.
