Tbh I wouldn't get one from either amazon or ebay. I'd stick to somewhere like Game or an actual shop you can pick one up in.

They had 4 in our local game a few weeks ago. I didn’t realise they were still out of stock in lots of places.

Digital is £360 in game. You're an idiot if you pay triple the price with no guarantees.

That is crazy! I don't think it's Amazon with that price though, more separate seller. Amazon usually remove them when they see them.

Didn't realise PS5 demand was still crazy. I was lucky to get on in February, but did weeks and weeks on stock informer. Felt on edge for weeks afterwards, it's not a great process to go through.

They are at that price because people are willing to pay, if people refused to buy them apart from at RRP then they would not be listed at that price.

Good luck getting a PS5 or a series X anytime soon. You have to be on a website the moment they get them in stock and blink and they're gone. The higher proves are people selling them on market place etc and taking the pee.

You can pick one up for about £500 on gumtree and £525 on eBay.

Definitely recommend the HotStock app. We got one back in May from argos. If you’re serious about getting one; follow the stock rumour sites and on the rumoured dates be hot on your notifications from HotStock.

I assume through 3rd party seller although I can't see they have any stock. I got mine on release day from amazon. No ridiculous charge.

I downloaded the Discord app for PS5 stock and managed to find one on Amazon at the proper retail price of £449.99 for the disc version. They are in super demand and 10 minutes later were all sold out so I was lucky. You have to be quick!

Don't pay over the odds. £449 for the disc version and £350 something for the digital version. Keep trying. Good luck!

I'm on stock drop watch for a digital PS5 console. Apparently Game maybe getting stock this week. Luckily DS is 16, has gaming consoles and the gaming PC he built, so he is happy to wait if 'Santa' has problems .

There is an ongoing chip shortage affecting supply. There was an issue late last year/early this year getting PC parts and monitors.

This is why I have one sitting in the attic since July. All electronics are in short supply because there are so few semi conductors. I was following a Twitter account that updates with releases and jumped on it straight away. Where I am (not UK) stores are getting tiny drops so are gone within minutes. You have to be quick and lucky.
Any Christmas presents that are electronics need to be bought ASAP this year.

Totally recommend this, I got the alert in March, managed to get one just before Ds's birthday.

Follow PS5 stock checker on Twitter. Regular, reliable updates. I got one from Very using their tweets.

I assume that is through a third party seller, rather than Amazon themselves. DH bought his from Amazon and it was £500 (months ago, no idea what the price is now). From the actual delivery of it through Amazon, it was very secure. DH was sent a password and had to give ID and sign to say he’d received it.

I finally managed to get one the other day from BT Shop

I got one from Amazon and Argos for £550

Would recommend the HotStock app too, it helped me out
