Feeling wary about teens having flu AND Covid vaccines at school at the same time

Are all schools doing Covid AND flu vaccines at the same time for their teens?

I’m a bit worried about it. We’ve had some strong reactions to flu jabs in the past and the Covid jab made one of us vomit and the other feel very achy. Both jabs at the same time seems quite a lot to throw at the immune system of teens.

AIBU to suggest that my teen just gets the Covid jab and give it a week or so before the flu jab (I’ll pay privately)? Or am I overly worried?

Do places do the Covid vaccine privately for under 18s? Our GP run out of the flu one and couldn't get my daughter done privately.

Superdrug will do it for under 18s.

Well my mum is having chemo currently and the doctors gave her the covid booster and flu jab the same day. So if they’re not worried about someone like her I’m sure your DS would be fine. But if you’re anxious by all means get it done privately. I’d probably get it over and done with in one day personally! Especially if it’s Pfizer as among my family and friends no one had a reaction to their first jab.

If its any reassurance DS (12) had flu spray and covid jab on the same day. Aside from a headache the following day, which I let him stay at home for because I'm soft sometimes, he was absolutely fine.

Other DC just had the flu spray as they're all too young for the covid jab but they were also fine.

Yesterday I had my Covid booster & flu jab at the same time at lunchtime.
I'm at risk of complications from Covid & flu as I have epilepsy so I was glad to get them.
Luckily just had achy arms, better now.
