Spider bite or drama queen??

Hey, I've just been bitten round our local park and it's bloody agony. I was bitten a few weeks ago and ended up needing antibiotics but didn't know what it was. This time the pain is worse and sharp throbbing I've just taken an antihistamine. One of my dogs was bitten too. This was about 15 mins ago, I've got work at 11 but I bit worried about this bite.

AIBU to call the Dr or am I being a drama queen?

That looks nasty. I'd def give the GP a call.
Would a spider bite you and the dog at the same time? Whatever's caused it I'd get it checked out especially as it's throbbing.

My dd got bitten a while ago.
We went to the chemist and the pharmacist had a look. Recommended some cream and some antihistamine.
We were told to draw a line around it, and watch for it spreading or tracking. Seek medical advice if this happens.
Thankfully after a couple of days it started going down.
It was uncomfortable for a few days though.

There’s a single puncture wound not 2 fang marks like you’d get from a spider bite?

And spiders don’t intentionally go into your clothes so unless it was in there when you put your top on and you accidentally squashed it a bit in the park where did a spider come from?

More likely to be a bite from a horsefly, sawfly, tick (you don’t always see them), or a sting from a wasp or hornet (which can pierce thin clothing or go inside clothing).

Hornets can sting repeatedly, are very sleepy at this time of year and often crawl rather than fly. Asian hornets have been found in the U.K. and can give a nasty sting with more swelling and pain than a European hornet.

Unlikely to be a spider bite, more likely tick or fly. Looks angry though. Personally I’d take an antihistamine and get some antisan cream from pharmacy.

Draw a line around it and see if it gets bigger.

I didn't think of a hornet actually gang, not a horse fly as I get them all the time and know what it is like. I'll go and get more antihistamines and a cream from the pharmacy. I had one a few weeks ago on my calf and it ended up infected that's why I was wondering if it was something else. Drama queen at my best. Poor dog has just been neutered on Friday so feeling sorry for himself as it is haha.

Xx

Spider bites tend to blister or have 2 distinct punctures.

Hope you and dog feel better soon xx

Thank you, I've just taken a sting out one of the lumps on my dog. Read up and it said they can sting repeatedly I didn't know that. Also their sting was particularly painful to humans. Bloody shits!
