How should I space my antibiotics

Hi I'm on antibiotics for UTI amoxicillin 500mg I taken one at 4:00pm and I just taken one at 9:45pm is this okay ? How do you normally take yours

How many times a day?

How many doses per day? I try to space them out evenly, so as near as possible to every 6 hours for 4 doses or every 8 hours for 3.

I would normally space out during awake hours in the day

Do you have three to take a day? That’s roughly every 8 hours so I’d normally do one when I wake up, one just before bed, and aim for halfway in between during the day for the third.

Spaced as evenly as possible over 24 hours

One first thing in the morning, one last thing at night, and one in the middle of them.

I usually take 7-8am then 2-3pm then 10pm

Every 8 hours.

So 6am, 2pm and 10pm, for example.

Or 7/3/11, etc.

If you normally sleep for longer than that, just divide your waking hours by 3 instead.

8 am ,4 pm 10 pm

8 am 2 pm and 8 pm, thats what we would do in the care home.

What you've done today is fine but now take one first thing when you wake up in the morning, one last thing before you go to sleep, and one right in the middle of those. E.g. 7am, 3pm, 11pm. Unless they have to be taken with food?

3 X daily I would do 7am, 3pm and 11pm

Was it your first day of taking them? Fine to have 2 closer together at the start

Just before going to sleep, immediately after I woke up and whenever was halfway between the two. So I guess 10pm, 7am and therefore about 2:30pm. Unless there were workings around food.

Im on some for my root canal atm and you've just reminded me to take mine haha.

3 per day should be one every 8 hours.
But I had my last one at 1pm and ins now nearly 10...and I'll probably go to bed around 2am so that'll be just 4 hours between.

I don't think it matters much.
Just make sure to finish the course.

Why did you not ask your doctor?

(Sorry I meant I'll take my 3rd of the day at 2am before i go to bed)

Depends on whether they need to be taken with food or not but just space evenly during waking hours
