Is it just that they are disorganised, but can actually pay you? If so tbh I would just work (this might be unfashionable opinion amongst contractors)

Theunamedcat · 09/10/2021 18:29

Is it ongoing work you submit invoices for or a timed one off contract

Drowningnotwaving74 · 09/10/2021 18:32

Ongoing work

If they need you more than you need them, then sounds ok. They are in the wrong, clearly, and you can choose who you work with.

Drowningnotwaving74 · 09/10/2021 18:56

They already owe me 2k I'm just worried about it being more

OP posts:
Burnamer · 09/10/2021 18:58

How long is the 2k for? If you’re on 500 a day then Yabu but if you’re on minimum wage part time and they’ve not paid you for over a month then YANBU

Theunamedcat · 09/10/2021 19:44

Invoice them

Drowningnotwaving74 · 09/10/2021 20:48

It's the invoice they have not paid

OP posts:
Comefromaway · 09/10/2021 20:51

What are their payment terms and have they exceeded them?

forinborin · 09/10/2021 20:53

OP, it depends how long the invoice was unpaid for.
I am waiting now for my monthly timesheet from September to be paid, a week overdue, and I am an employee. Some people are just really really bad at admin. I'd send a gentle reminder, but won't burn bridges.

Theunamedcat · 09/10/2021 22:12

No more work until your paid send a reminder stating as I'm sure your aware this invoice is overdue I cannot continue work until payment is made

LtJudyHopps · 09/10/2021 22:25

Well what are the terms of the invoice and how late are they in paying? Is it 30 days and they are a day over? Or is it 30 days and they’re a week over?

WhatAShilohPitt · 09/10/2021 23:40

No more work until it’s paid, would be my response.
