I'm a housekeeper for a big chain hotel. I was quite ill for two days. Let manager know and they told me I have to find my own sick cover is this a thing? I was really not up for texting loads of people asking them to work my shift. I also feel like I absolutely have to go in tomorrow even though I'm still not right.

Aibu to be really pissed off?
Or do I need to get over myself?

Covering your shift is down to your manager, that's literally their job. I'm a cleaning manager myself and would never expect my team to sort their own cover if they are ill.....If you wanted to swap out a shift that's completely different.
I'd text and say you're unable to do that as you are unwell.

Thanks I thought as much. They all seem a bit shit at the moment. Ignoring days you can't work then changing the rota every week. I don't know if I'm coming or going half the time.
